National Francophone Immigration Week 2020

From November 1st to 7, 2020, Canada will be celebrating National Francophone Immigration Week, an initiative of the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadiennes (FCFA). To mark the occasion, Conseil de développement économique des Territoires du Nord-Ouest (CDETNO), the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) and the Réseau en Immigration francophone (RIFTNO) are honouring four Francophone immigrants who chose the Northwest Territories as their new home.

They talk to us about their immigrant journeys, the challenges they may have encountered and their Soft spot.

They certainly have different backgrounds, however, they all have one thing in common: They all came to Canada’s North and decided to stay here!

Get to know Awa, Cecile A., Cecile F. and Edouard during National Francophone Immigration Week on our social media Facebook – Twitter
