National Francophone Immigration Week 2019

From November 3 to 9, 2019, Canada will be celebrating National Francophone Immigration Week, an initiative of the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadiennes (FCFA). To mark the occasion, Conseil de développement économique des Territoires du Nord-Ouest (CDETNO) and the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) are honouring five Francophone immigrants who chose the Northwest Territories as their new home.

They talk to us about their immigrant journeys. Some work for local companies, while others have decided to go into business for themselves. However, they all have one thing in common: They all came to Canada’s North and decided to stay here!
