Tell me about the North

CDETNO and the Éditions Présence Francophone are partnering in an artistic and creative project: the publication of a collection of texts written by young writers in the Northwest Territories, Tell me about the North.

Anyone between the ages of 12 and 19 living in the NWT is invited to submit their writing(s), in one or more of the NWT’s 11 official languages. Creative support will be available to young writers until the deadline of June 30th, 2022.

Call for volunteers: Présence Francophone is calling for volunteers of all ages: do you like to write or tell stories? Do you speak at least one of the 11 official languages of the NWT? And you want to encourage young northern writers? Become a creative coach with us!

Entrepreneurship in the North

Local organizations and businesses have been working together to present you, Entrepreneurship in the North.

Our event goal is to encourage northerners to think with an entrepreneurial mindset by taking the limited resources and bringing new and improved solutions, creations, innovations, and value to their communities.

We will do this through guest speakers, workshops, and prizes.

At the end of our event, we dedicated time to “Raven’s Nest”, which is an opportunity to present an idea to a panel of judges similar to a Dragons Den or Sharks Tank scenario. The judges will decide on which idea they would like to fund, presenting them with a micro-grant of $3,000.
