#RISINGYOUTH

Do you have a simple project idea to support your community?

TakingITGlobal (TIG) is looking for young people who are inspired with ideas and ready to take action through youth-led community service grants

The #YouthInAction community service grants allow young people, ages 15-30, to come up with ideas that can support their local community and help put those ideas into action with grants of $250, $750, or $1,500.

Call for volunteers: Présence Francophone is calling for volunteers of all ages: do you like to write or tell stories? Do you speak at least one of the 11 official languages of the NWT? And you want to encourage young northern writers? Become a creative coach with us!

Entrepreneurship in the North

Local organizations and businesses have been working together to present you, Entrepreneurship in the North.

Our event goal is to encourage northerners to think with an entrepreneurial mindset by taking the limited resources and bringing new and improved solutions, creations, innovations, and value to their communities.

We will do this through guest speakers, workshops, and prizes.

At the end of our event, we dedicated time to “Raven’s Nest”, which is an opportunity to present an idea to a panel of judges similar to a Dragons Den or Sharks Tank scenario. The judges will decide on which idea they would like to fund, presenting them with a micro-grant of $3,000.
