Position: Journeyman Carpenter
Location: Fort Smith, NT
Type: Full-Time
Compensation: negotiable based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan construction projects.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials for structures such as walls, floors, doors, and frameworks.
- Perform finish carpentry tasks, including cabinetry, moulding, and trim installations.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining them in good working condition.
- Supervise apprentices, assist team members as required, and work unsupervised.
- Ensure all work adheres to building codes, safety standards, and project deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members.
- Perform repairs, renovations, and maintenance as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification as a Journeyman Carpenter (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in carpentry across various project types.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using modern carpentry tools.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Physical stamina to handle manual labour and lifting materials as needed.
- Valid driver’s license.
