A team from CDETNO will attend Destination Canada from February 14 to 15 in Paris, France, and from February 18 to 20 in Douala, Cameroon.
This 2025 edition, which marks a first in sub-Saharan Africa, will provide information about Francophone immigration and networking opportunities for qualified and motivated candidates. It will connect candidates with Canadian employers seeking to fill positions outside of Quebec.
Some candidates are already prepared to move to Canada and hold an open work permit, such as a Working Holiday permit. Therefore, they can begin working in Canada immediately upon arrival.
CDETNO will highlight the NWT region, promote local employers, conduct a preselection, and assist companies that wish to participate in the rest of the recruitment process. Job offers from NWT employers wishing to recruit at Destination Canada should be sent to CDETNO (emplois@cdetno.com).
” Increasing the population of the NWT and, more importantly, attracting qualified bilingual workers to meet the needs of the local economy remain strategic priorities of the NWT government that CDETNO continues to translate into action by representing NWT employers at this important international event,” says François Afane, CDETNO Executive Director.
Members of the team will also participate in a virtual edition of the online forum on March 3, 4 and 5, 2025.
In an effort to assist employers in preparing for and better understanding how Destination Canada works, two information sessions will be held at the Explorer Hotel and online on January 21 and 22, 2025 between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
