Building cleaning and maintenance supervisor
Our client includes hospitals, health care institutions, hotels, motels, schools, shelters and educational institutions, commercial and industrial establishments, homes, and offices.
As building cleaning and maintenance supervisor your duties include:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers.
- Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
- Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
- Prepare work schedule and coordinate activities for various site.
- Prepare budget, estimate costs, and keep financial records.
- Receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs.
- Assist cleaners in performing duties.
- Keep cleaning product and material inventory and order cleaning product.
- Act as a backup cleaner and may perform certain cleaning duties.
- Perform routine checks on system.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of general construction, carpentry, and electricity.
- Critical thinking with ability to identify rout causes of problems and develop effective solutions.
- Good organizational and record-keeping.
- Ability to work with computerized systems.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
- Strong problem-solving.
- Ability to travel to remote communities.
