Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance professional to join our team. We are looking for part-time work (days) with the option to move into full-time work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained including our brewery, storage facilities and restaurant. This role requires a proactive approach to facilities maintenance and a commitment to providing a high standard of cleanliness and functionality within the building.
Rate of pay will be based on experience level.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Conduct commercial cleaning tasks from time to time including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing various areas.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness of the facility by ensuring that all common areas are tidy and well-kept.
- Duities will include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, heating and air conditioning systems, and other utility services as well as brewing and kitchen equipment.
- Address minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as fixing leaks, changing light bulbs, and performing basic plumbing work.
- Collaborate with external contractors for larger maintenance projects as needed.
- Troubleshoot and report all equipment problems, violations or substandard practices to the Owner immediately.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance duties.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any significant issues to management.
- Basic snow removal and other seasonal outdoor tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and management.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the workplace.
