About the role
Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.
We are looking for multi-skilled Heavy Equipment Operators responsible for operating and monitoring mobile equipment to support Surface Operations to ensure maximum production rates in a safe and efficient manner. The Equipment Operator primary responsibilities will be operating a range of different heavy equipment. This is done under the direct supervision of the Surface Operations Supervisor or designate.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Surface Operations you will be working a 2 weeks on /2 weeks off rotation that includes working weekends and holidays. Options for over time are possible during the busy summer period. The rotations will consist of 12-hour daily shifts.
What you’ll bring
• Possession of a class 5 driver’s license.
• Proficient literacy skills essential for comprehending manuals and written directives.
• Ideally, a minimum of five years’ experience as a multi-skilled / versatile heavy equipment operator.
• Over two years’ expertise operating Excavators within a mining setting, including EX2600 & EX1200.
• Proven ability to operate equipment efficiently and safely such as, 16H Grader, D10/D6 Dozer, Komatsu articulating trucks, Komatsu 785 and 40t Excavator is advantageous.
• Competence in safely and effectively operating various heavy machinery in Surface Operations.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
• Capacity to take initiative and collaborate effectively within a team or independently.
• Upholds high standards of conduct and exhibits ethical work practices.
• Displays cultural sensitivity and awareness.
• Shows dedication to both the Company and the role, prioritizing safety.
• Exhibits traits of respectfulness, self-motivation, discipline, and understands the importance of confidentiality in professional and personal matters.

Additional Information
Northern residency and experience working in a cross-cultural environment, coupled with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities presented to those living in the North, are assets.
