The Role
Our staff have the opportunity to travel throughout Canada’s Northwest Territories and Nunavut and discover a wide variety of work engagements. Your primary duties will include:    

  • Participate on teams in executing engagements for a variety of clients
    • Perform tests of transactions and balances to verify audit assertions
    • Complete compilation and review engagements with limited supervision
    • Prepare personal and corporate tax returns
    • Working in Caseware and Caseview to enter trial balances and set up file sections to create financial statements
  • Execute bookkeeping assignments
  • Prepare T1 and T2 tax returns

Staff accountants have a high level of perseverance, integrity, honesty and self-accountability as you are in a period of intensive learning where your formal education is enhanced though practical application.

Working knowledge of accounting standards, accounting and tax software such as Caseware, Taxprep, QuickBooks/Sage etc are also considered as asset.
