Bouwa Whee Catering is a subsidiary of the Det’on Cho Corporation, economic development arm of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation. It has been operating as a premier event and contract catering company within the greater Yellowknife area since 1988, and provides full catering and camp accommodation services to companies in the North.

Camp Manager 

Under the direction of the Bouwa Whee Catering Operations Manager, the Camp Manager oversees the complete operation of  Camp Accommodation Complexes. This position is responsible for supervising all Bouwa Whee staff and ensuring that the operation runs in an efficient and safe manner. This position requires a person with all the training, experience and qualities of a full service hotel General Manager, as well as the ability to delegate and ensure all employees under his or her supervision complete their duties in a safe and efficient manner. The Camp Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring all requirements of the client are fulfilled in relation to the complete operations on the mine site.

The Camp Manager is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

o Facilitate and maintain positive customer relations and act as a liaison between the Bouwa Whee Catering Corporate office and the client.

o Maintain accurate cost reports, inventory control systems, and assist the accounting department with payroll, invoicing etc.

o Ensure that the objectives of delivering quality food and maintaining clean facilities in a safe environment are achieved each and every day.

o Ensure that all employees are trained in all aspects of their position in order to provide excellent service and a Safe Work environment for all employees and residents of the  Accommodation Complexes.

Preference will be given to candidates that possess the following:

o At least 5-10 years hospitality operation management experience, with post-secondary education in Management, Red Seal and/or related field.

o A complete knowledge and understanding of Microsoft office software, including but not limited to excel spreadsheets, word, outlook, PowerPoint.

o Must be personable and have excellent communication skills as well as able to maintain outstanding customer service relations with clients, guests, vendor and corporate office representatives.
