Description

North of 60 Accounting Services is seeking a dedicated full-time Bookkeeper to join our team in Yellowknife. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our day-to-day bookkeeping operations.

Responsibilities:
• Provide support in general office administrative tasks, including filing, bank runs, and other clerical duties as needed.
• Conduct basic data entry and bookkeeping tasks utilizing Sage 50 and QuickBooks software.
• Assist in monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Process payroll and related remittances efficiently and accurately.
• Assist in completing statutory filings, such as GST remittances and WSCC submissions.
• Aid in the preparation of accounting journal entries to maintain financial records accurately.
• Support small business clients with their bookkeeping needs, addressing inquiries and providing guidance as necessary.

Qualifications:
• Possess a post-secondary diploma in Business Administration or related field.
• Demonstrated client-focused approach with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
• Proficiency in Sage 50 and/or QuickBooks software is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues and clients.
• Intermediate-level proficiency in MS Excel and Word to support various accounting tasks.
• Familiarity with inventory management and control software preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey information clearly and professionally.
